St Barts Visa Requirement

Passport and Visa information for people travelling to St Barts:

St Barthelemy is part of France and the European Union however immigration requirements are not the same:

All persons travelling, including babies, to St Barts are required to travel with a valid passport and visa as appropriate

An American Green card or EU Residency are not a travel documents valid for entry onto St Barts.

If you are a foreign national with rights of residency in a country exempt from requiring a visa, this does not exempt you unless you have a passport of that country.St Barts is not in the Schengen Zone and a Schengen Visa is not valid for travel to St Barts and the French West Indies

Babysitters, staff and traveling companions: Anyone travelling with a babysitter or relative from another country to St Barts, please be sure to check the list below.

If their passport is NOT from one of the listed countries, check with the French Embassy to arrange the appropritel VISA.

IF YOU ARE FROM A COUNTRY NOT ON THE FOLLOWING LIST…. You will require a special VISA to visit St Barts and other French Overseas Territories.

Specify that you are travelling to St Barthelemy, French West Indies, not Metropolitan France, as the visa is not the same

Please Note: The Immigration authorities on St Barthelemy are VERY strict about this and will not allow you onto the island of St Barts if you do not have a valid passport and visa if required.
